I think the reason that you see this is because you are looking at only the partykids, and not at the ravers.

you know what would be cool?

2 or 3 djs
6 - 8 turntables
lots of tweakable effects
and crates upon crates of minimal techno.


It's not minimal anymore when you have 8 tracks playing at the same time...

There will always be love and good vibes somewhere within the underground scene. However the masses need to be educated insted of milked. I can see no prejudice in my statement. Minimal techno is great. Vancouver seriously needs a techno night. It's a sad reality, being human, we have to have conflict to try to be understood. Like, peace man :Keebler:

Dont get to high on your self sonik,
Yes most new DJ's in vancouver are spinning jungle/and breaks

But what does the public want? MOST if not all want or can stand breaks and jungle. There for the smart thing for a new dj to do would be to spin whats in high demand. It's much easyer to get a gig if you play jungle of breaks... if you tell a promoter you spin trance, its much harder.

Even better is to jsut try and spin it all ;)


But I think a big part of being a DJ is to be open minded to ALL music, so stop this jungle/breaks bashing please!
