Vote for John'00'Felming in this years DJMag poll...
First off, I'm not looking to hear any replies about how this poll in a joke/popularity contest/ etc. etc.
As many of you know, John is my favorite DJ, last year he was voted #27. He deserves to be much higher this year. I hope to see him in the top 10. The man is such a hard worker, please think of him when/if you cast your votes. =) taken from: http://www.john00fleming.com DJ Mag Poll 2004. John 00 Fleming has had another amazing year. The productions have been flowing and the DJ diary is fuller than ever. Visiting almost every major country in the world and playing at the most important clubs, parties and festivals. It's also that time of the year again, when I ask you my fans & friends to think of myself when you place your votes in this years DJ Mag poll. The DJ Mag poll has become the promoters bible in terms of what DJ's to book to fill their clubs. As a DJ it has become highly important that we make the list, so we can continue to play at many of these great events, and get added to the events we have yet to play and the countless amounts of new events and clubs that will appear. The poll begins on August 20th on the DJMag website www.djmag.com. Vote for your five favorite DJ's for 2004, and remember to spare a little thought for John 00 Fleming. At this point in time i would once again like to thank all my fans for their support not only so far this year but throughout my career, without you i would not be where i am today. John. =) Last edited by D; Aug 30, 04 at 09:43 AM. |

his latest stuff is ass
I was expecting SO MUCH MORE when he was with Astral Projection to do a remix of Mahadeva. everything i've heard on JOOF recordings... is progressive and not JOOF.. Dont get me wrong, I will always listen to his stuff from 1998-2001 |

i dont want to be offensive but if you opened your mind and started playing/listening to other music besides trance. you will see what other dj's are doing and then have a different opinion on trance dj's.. i've never heard a trance dj spin properly without editing his/her mixes.
if you can show me a joof mix that he takes advantage of the decks, sampling left, right and center, cutting properly, taking advantage of onboard effects, speeding up the record and slowing it down without losing the beat. I will give him insane props and kudos. dont say it cant be done because i've heard it so many times with turntablism, hard techno even our very own dj dermatitis does while playing hardcore. IMO he is a billion times better than JOOF.. if you ever want to hear funkytown -> hardcore you will download dermatitis - angst. the point is.. there are far better dj's than joof.. dj's who rape the decks and use every little piece of record to totally anal fuck the listeners ears. do you not agree there are better dj's than JOOF? |

OK man. I'm not sure where you're going with all of this. Nowhere did I say that John is the best DJ in the world, nor did I say he should be everyone's first vote. All I'm trying to do is get the man a few extra votes from people who might have forgotten about him. He's my favorite DJ, simple as that. Of course there are better technical DJ's around, I wasn't born yesterday. lol
Secondly, I listen to and spin diffrent styles of music other than just trance. I've been running a successful club night for 2 years now, and believe it or not my style has changed a lot over that time. I play mostly progressive these days, but I also play a lot of tech trance, some psy, and a little techno. So no offence taken. |

If you didn't already read dude he said J'00'F is his favourite DJ so it's probably going to take a lot more than what you think for him to change his mind.
My Five Votes: 1.Yoji Biomehanika 2.Scot Project 3.Dj Isaac 4.J'00'F 5.PvD J'00'F tore shit up at IMF2004. I was highly impressed the way he worked the crowd. It was amazing to say the least. Started off with the typical stuff and than it just got so pumping that I even started going nuts to his (which I barely do any more). Not only is he an amazing producer, but while talking to him after his set for a good 30 minutes, he is a totally chill guy. |

Erol Alkan
Felix Da Housecat (Best set I saw live all year) Tiga Jesper Dahlback Sasha The top four are far better DJs than J00F, in my opinion, and far more deserving of recognition for their hard work. Felix and Tiga alone are amazing success stories, yet don't get the props they truly deserve in EDM circles. And a vote for Sasha is never a wasted vote. |

personally, my respect for dj's have never really come from how crazy they are. it's all in whats coming out of the speakers and how it affects me and the general vibe around me. dj's like joof bring an experience to people.... puts on a show that will keep people listening and hopefully not get bored. i'm sure i'm not as educated in the areas of progressive, trance, hardcore as most people on this thread but its a general overview of why i have alot of respect for djs like joof, sasha, digweed... sure they're just playing tracks in the end... but damn it goes so much deeper than that.. |
