beginner needin help...
i'm just startin to dj, i dont have (good) turntables or a mixer yet, -hehe as of now, i'm usin my mom's turntables... haha
but i'm gonna start doin this in the next month or two, so if anyone can give me some tips or suggestions, that would be great. better yet, some 1 on 1 "lessons" thanx

(lets just use the other thread to talk about that tho...) but yeah. one of them is a hitachi, the other one is a sansui.... ?¿? they both have pitch controls, but they're both only 2 speeds. :(

You could practice turntable etiquette
But as for mixing you'll have to wait until u get proper decks with pitch control. I had a piece of shit turntable before I started getting serious and during that time I just bought records and previewed them. Don't attempt to scratch with it either it'll ruin your records. As for "1 on 1" I was thinking of organizing something with agro in regards to some cheap lessons. Possibly some theory and practice in the upper room of spanish.

and yeah, thats what i'm gonna be doin, i'm just playin around with my moms turntables, seein how they work and shit, so i get the feel... all i need now is a mixer... :)

if you've got access to a car you can come by and practice.
I only have trance, some breaks, hardhouse, hardcore, acid trance, and they're on top of my tv to the computer, be fairly tall. Serotonin had to stand on a chair :) - SoniK

sorta reminds me of me.....had 2 sony decks with 33/45 speeds and a knob pitch control.......rubber slip mats......man hahaha.........where do u live?

ah.....a lil far.....first thing would be to get decks......or have decks available to u..........dont worry about buying much vinyl just go buy like 4 u like........fuck around with them forever then start to worry about mixing

hmm
i can sorta beatmatch, sometimes it sounds really good.. sometimes it really sucks.. =)
im mostly spinning hard house...some hard trance =)
