STARSCREAM
Des Moines, IA

Born Sid Wilson, 27 year old turntable virtuoso DJ Starscream traces his love of music and the DJ trade all the way back to his first heartbeats. His vast knowledge and appreciation of all music is attributed to his family, his own curiosity of the technical aspects of his first love, and how various parts of different music and songs could blend together. DJ Starscream listens to and experiments with all varieties of music ranging from classical to metal.
Punk rock was DJ Starscreams first passion to perform, playing bass in various upstart punk bands, and that passion and attitude is evident today in every project that he is involved with. In the studio, DJ Starscream is a perfectionist in every sense of the word. He is constantly pushing himself and his music to extreme limits. Onstage, his performances are entrancing, not only musically but also in his own intense energy and aggressiveness.

Well known for his production and DJ skills as #0 of metal band Slipknot, Starscream blesses the N2O roster with his aggressive dj style and depth of knowledge of hip hop and jungle. Vestax sponsors his full DJ gear set up and Electric Sunglasses, DVS Shoes and Matix sponsors his style. Starscream is now on tour with Slipknot, Slayer and Metallica promoting Slipknot's new album "Volume 3 Subliminal Verses" on Roadrunner Records. Catch them on Ozzfest in America and also in Europe and Japan.

Slipknot's Dj Starcream mixes up a "too hardcore for radio" jungle/drum and bass hardstep set on this first ever full release. The cd includes 14 tracks by the N2O records label that are definitely gonna fuck your brain with hard beats and heavy basslines and Sid manages to make it all sound crunchy and grimey. For all you Maggots, this is the next sund that Starscream brings, you've heard some of the sounds on "Eyeless" and thier lives sets, so I'm sure you'll dig right in. "Abunaii Sounds" translates to English as "Dangerous Sounds."
