missed shows/concerts

so y athis past month has been amazing for wut vancouver has offered..

like I saw princess superstar and peaches in the same week.. KOOL

and who else did I miss as well...fucking SKRATCH BASTID and TIGA...ya that was a splendid evening...grr

and apparantly I missed tiger army n social distortion SOLD OUT all the way to san fran...wtf... I can keep up with this min. wage job

thats it I'm goin back to knitting

I'm glad vancouver's music scene is enthusiastic and totally promotes artists frum all over...cuz when they do come...we have to make it up to them so that they'll come back round again...cuz I keep missing these fucking shows

I missed Interpol.. and Death Cab for Cutie.. and Pilate (even though i've seen them perform before)

I'm going to stop, tears are filling up in my eyes as i'm typing this :(

On another note, when was Peaches in town?!?!?!

I'm pissed that I missed Interpol and Death Cab too... tickets sold out before I realized what was going on. I did see Blonde Redhead on Saturday, though, and Social Distortion on Tuesday. And I see The White this Saturday and Le Tigre next Tuesday. Lots of great shows in town lately.:)

Yeah no kidding, I want to check out some of the artists performing as part of New Music West, there's been a lot of talent in town lately.

How was Blonde Redhead, that must've been a great show!!

They were awesome, though I hadn't heard too much before I went to the show. The crowd was a little tame, but I guess it comes with their style of music. The girl is like a sexier Bjork. Helio Sequence opened for them, and they were excellent too -- lots of neat synth work.

that's totally rad! I've never heard of Helio Sequence, i'll have to check them out.

If you're into indie bands I recommend checking out www.epitonic.com there's a lot of really talented artists on that site, and you can sample their music, find similar artists, etc.

so tru so tru... bjork is the SHIZ and yes i too missed lots.. wish i would have time to go to more shows, but dude, when they are on the same night and shit it gets rough... how DO you DECIDE where to go?? with so many optionis it gets hectic.. .we've had soem sick acts down here too...
