gwen stefani's new album
is fire!
hollerback girl by the neptunes is terrific, great beat. luxurious sampling "between the sheets" was a serious surprise. what are you waiting for is pretty good too. nice electro house. should win album of the year at the grammys. |

Gwens been my hero since I was 13 <3
Ive always love how No Doubt had this funky/punk/ska sound. With so many years now in the big bis I really trust Gwen has done somthing cool with herself on this album. I fn love her first track that came out and cant wait to hear the rest. |

From hearing the first few tracks come out I think it does need some time to grow on you. I think it has an aquired taste in her style for this album.
I will agree its much more "pop" yet with Gwen working with ppl such as eve... you cant help but get draged into that scene. I think shes kinda making fun of her self too in her first track. Usualy artist who break away to do a solo album often want to try sotmhing diffrent. I this she's just expressing her more female "pop" self that she couldnt in No Doubt. I also agree that alot of this must be a huge marketing gimic... I mean look at Justin Timberlake/Beonce? Im surprised it took this long to convince gwen to try solo. |

I got it in my stocking for christmas. The first time I listened I didn't really like it much at all except for a few tracks. Everytime I listen to it I like it more and more though. I can really hear the influence from her trip to japan. I definatly agree it has to grow on you. .

I really liked it, she's trying out some very cool things on this album and it actually works.
The only part that I really didn't like is the fact that there's a song about Tony on there. There's a song about her and tony on every fucking album, get over it already. |
