The Game-The Documentary 2005
Although the year has just begun Im gonna have to say this is probably gonna be the best album of 05! This albums stacked from head to toe I almost like every single track. Dreams by Kanye West and Hate it or Love it are probably my fav track. There's also appearances by Faith Evan, Mary J, of course the Gunit and Shady crew, Nate Dogg, Busta Rhymes etc.... Anyone else hear it? THE WEST COAST IS BACK MOFOS!!!!

it was ripped on Jan 05/2005, and best album of the year? you have to be fuckin' kidding me. dont get me wrong, I like hiphop, always have, and I like the whole shady/aftermath crew, but this is NOT the best album of the year. as a matter of fact, I think this album was garbage and im going tell you why.
a) listen to the lyrics, he acts as if he has been around in the rap game for a decade, when really he has been rapping for 18 months, and justr blew up about a few months ago, ONLY because dr dre found his ass. b) who gets a tattoo of Easy-E on his arm, when he had no connections with Easy himself, and didnt know him personally, but acts as if he had known him for years and years? just because they are from Compton, doesnt mean you get a tattoo of him on his arm. c) take away the amazing production which was HANDED to him, by kanye west, timbaland, dr dre, hi-tek, eminem and just blaze and it would have been garbage. the lyrics are repeated over and over, yeah yeah yeah, so he has an impalla 64', and he lives in compton, and his brother got gunned down, and he used to sell crack, ummm same old story of EVERY other rapper. d) his flow is absolutely crap, he spits up and down and all around, but half the tracks he raps on dont even match the beat, sounds as if he just freestyled over a beat, after he listened to the beat a few times, complete crap. e) in track 03 he says quotes 'day dreaming yesterday, dozing off backstage, i thought i saw easy talkin to jam master jay, so i walked over and heard jam master say, its a hard knock life, then you pass away'. did the game or aka chuck taylor even know jam master jay? i didnt think so, but please, correct me if im wrong. so why does he speak of people he doesnt know or pretend like he was tight with him? i donno. okay I could go on a bit more, but my hands hurt from typin, so bottom line here is my ratings. production, beats - 5/5 flow, raps, rhymes - 2.5/5 dont let all the hype and commotion get to your head, if he didnt sign with Aftermath he would flop after this cd, but dre and 50 will only keep him around. |

Eighty I got the answer to all your questions!
First off how the fuck you figure he thinks hes been around for along time when both you and I know on every trk he says its been a yr and a hlf? Second, he doesnt have a fucking tatoo of eazy E has he a tatoo of NWA and I bet you like 50 thousand other *****s have that same tatoo in LA witout ever knowing Eazy, rather they just had a hard life Thirdly producers like the ones you named have given their beats to rappers who rap about nothing different then Game so what makes him so shitty? Also I hate to break it to ya but when you label is willin to shell out big cash for high calibre producers, ALL the FUCKING BEATS are premade and shipped to the artist and write while they listen! Example, Just Blaze produced "Breathe" before Fabo even heard it! or wrote anything for that matter! Regarding knowing eazy how you think rappers like 50 cent blew up? U think he knew any of the hundreds of people he dissed on mixtapes before he wasnt famous? I don't think so and I don't think he really gave a fuck if he did! 50 and Eminem constantly bring up Biggie and Pac did they know them? I could go on a lil more but I rather get LAID! |

damn look at u guys go... Eighty5 & RJay u guys both know your shit.
My opinion (if it matters) goes like this : The game is dope.. I love my westcoast and its sweet to see someone come out repping this side after so long in such a hyped up manner. Everyone says the beats are ill .. a definite 10. And of course it helps in making the album great .. even if the lyics arent a 9. Lyrics couldve been better in some way .. but remember he has only been rapping a short while. So for wheres hes at you know it`ll only get better. I`ll be honest , I wasnt too impressed by the stuff he had for the album -- but I was impressed by his work on underground Diss Tracks towards Yukmouth & also the JA RULE New York remix. <--- that track is my westcoast anthem. Those 4 tracks alone got me sold on the idea this guy is forreal. Dre is pretty much the icon of Westcoast Hip Hop so u know when he tells someone he likes his flow and tells him he wants to sign him.. its not BULLSHIT. 50 and Lloyd Banks are 2 good examples of sub par rappers w/ solid beats backin them the whole way. The only 1 out of them that I think is lyrically talented is YOUNG BUC. Either way u gotta remember ..whether its Game, 50, Lloyd, Yayo , Buc .. theyre all backed by Dre so its almost automatically a hit. I see big things comin for the Game.. How We Do is still fire. - give him a bit, he`ll be shining on. For now at least enjoy the production on that album.. most rappers would kill for just half those beats.. "100 bloods and a 100 crips whenever Im in NEW YORK" |

I caught the Game in concert, when he came out to Victoria a little while ago.
It was a sick show, but things sure had changed with the whole 50 Cent vs Game beef. Gotta' love all the diss mixtapes floating around, though. I'm pretty sure the Game is set to drop his new album relatively soon (or has he already?) |
