Haha YES! I've been looking to hear something like this in a while! I've just been out of the hard house scene for a loooong time, erm wait, I was never in the hard house scene in the first place. But I do like this one! Thx Stacy. :)

let me get this right... it took 3 DJs to make a 30 min mix?

Is it just me or are bigger name DJs getting even lazier?

K, I've decided to make you a "hard house" track Stacy... just to show you this stuff takes 1-2 hours to make a complete track. In 20 mins... I've done everything but the build up/breakdown & the outro.

These guys made a wicked break a few years ago, "remember the good times." If y'all like this style of hard house, check out house wrecka. Pretty hard shit, it's too much for me, although I really like his breaks stuff!!

LOL.. no disrespect intended here.

We actually did this mix for a company in Holland, they wanted all 3 of us on the mix and the mix had to be 35 minutes or less for CD restrictions. The mix was intended for a compilation for a large scale event there, but the event was cancelled, so the compilation was scrapped, so we decided to make the mix available online for people to check out. :) Trust us, we're not lazy by any means, we were just following the instructions given to us by that company.

As for this:

Hard House is simple music, there is no denying it really. But there have been a LOT of producers who've tried attaining the success Mark V. & Poogie Bear have had throughout the years by thinking they can do the same thing, but they can't. Like the music or not, that's fine, but please don't disrespect the music by thinking you can create tracks on the level of them, heard by 10's of thousands of people throughout the world. If you do finish something though, please, by all means, submit it to us, we're looking for new producers! :)

Hope everyone enjoys the mix, and I'll have a new 2 CD mix up later next week!

Tronic: about the mix: Oh ok. it's just wierd picturing 3 dudes in an appartment playing records, but only recording 35 mins of it.

And as for the track. I'm aware that they have created an anthem known by thousands. I wasn't trying to copy that achivment. But rather just produce a track with in the same genre for my own amusment.

I can't listen to this genre in my own home, or in the car. The only place I can actualy stand it, it when it's being played loud, at a party. (Like Happy Together 3 for example).

Word man, totally understandable, for some people it's all about a party experience going on around them, plus this music, to create the whole vibe for 'em.. and for other people, like myself and lovers of the style, they can listen to the music wherever. All good man, appreciate the support nonetheless!

Yeah definately, I play a lot here in the SF Bay area, and a lot in the western US. I also usually do 1 European tour a year, this year it won't be until late September. If you know anyone interested, you can contact me directly: [email protected]

i respect CHH cause i used to play it. i've had more mark v vs poogie bear tracks than you can think of. but yeah, it's really simple and annoying after a while, but damn it's sure fun to drop a set of that and basically scare the pants of rookie ravers.
