Car Audio people . . .

ok people, to those that are into car audio . . . i have a lil problem. I just installed a Sony MD player in my car. It was used, i got from a friend of mine. So anyways i installed it, and tested everything. The radio works, the sounds is good and everything is fine. But when i put an MD in, it doesnt work. There is no sound. The md player reads the disk and shows the tracks that are on the md. It plays the track time and everything is displayed and it plays, but there is no sound. I was wonderign if anyone can help me out with this.

thanx

Sami

hmm, you sure the same format and stuff are correct? I dont know if that would matter... Like you imported the songs and used Atrac3 for compression.

Hi there...I think that i can help you out.....but first I need some info from you...what kind of car is the radio being installed in?....are there amps in the car...and if so, what are they running?.....seems to me that you hooked up the blue wire to the amp turn on in the car.....that blue wire only energizes when the radio is on (to turn on the power ant),and when u switch source to the MD that wire looses its power (so the ant can come back down). What u need to hook-up is the blue/white (which will turn on when the deck is on and stay on till the deck is turned off), from the back of the deck to the remote lead in the car. If I am right..that should solve ur problem... :)
