If you're dead serious about learning audio engineering, go here:
http://www.hotsole.com/aep.html Max three students per class. Work and learn in a real studio, producing real music, instead of in a classroom being taught by someone who couldn't get a job as an engineer. I dunno what the waiting list is like to get in tho... |

I've heard PAVI's good for music and it's right in the middle for cost. VFS's mostly for Post and cost 26k. Columbia is music focused; a friend who went there said they don't have the best gear: and costs around 10k.
Who cares what people say about job situations, get any training you can. If you love music production and want to learn alot- schools are great. You're not going to get very far if you don't take risks and always listen to the naysayers. While it is tough to get work, somehow people are still being hired.... You can get paid internships (where you pay a studio to let you hang around and learn stuff, then you'll hopefully get a job if they like you) and some people swear by that method**But a word of warning** Not everyone can teach! I have actually done an internship like that and it did not work out well. I'd go back to school in a heart beat If I could take a year off. Last edited by Code; Mar 12, 05 at 08:59 PM. |
