Where do you get your records?
What shops?
Locally? Internet? Myself: For freeform, trancecore, and happy hardcore, local shops, prove useless (except for the occasional RARE find). But when I'm looking for techno, or Nu-Nrg, otis proves the only way to go. Although, Vinyl does have an excellent selection too. Internet wise, I exclusivly use, www.imorecords.com. They are pretty quick to respond to emails, ships without problems. I've only had one small little problem with them before. After a few orders with them, shipping is no worries. Meh, I'm bored at work, and excited over a new order of records. |

yah, local shops are pretty good if you are looking for fairly plentiful stuff (i.e. trance, house, etc), But the net is freaking excellent for kick-ass hard to find stuff and just all sorts of weird stuff that just kicks your ass when you hear it.
Unfortunately, hearing samples of the records in realplayer isn't quite as nice as cranking it on a pair of phones in the shop, but.... locally, usually boomtown. (tho, getting a big stack of vinyl in the mail is sooooo nice! haha) |

i go to:
~boomtown for ambient and d'n'b ~vinyll for everything! they usually have something i want. ~bassix for d'n'b and downtempo ~otis for downtempo and d'n'b (the main store is better, but good finds at the second) and i don't have a credit card, so i only wish to order online. cuz there is some fucking sick represses lately! stina |

And I forgot to mention Virgin and Scratch Records. They always have some good finds too, but it's always a little too much than I'm willing to pay. But I find good *new* ambient and experimentalish music there(scratch). stina |
