attention acid/techno freaks

POD6 REPRESENT!

Granolaboy, GIJody and me, MUX, will be invading FUCK YOU this Thursday.

I'm doing prolly a half-hour to 45-min tryout of my new 2005 tunes. Expect hard thumping kicks, rolling basslines and screaming synths, on an MPC, SH-101, Nord Modular, Korg ER-1, etc - NO LAPTOP. I'm prolly going on around 11:00-11:30.

Granolaboy is http://www.granolaboy.net - he spins house and breaks and electro and whatever. Check out his demo mixes, he's got serious skills. In the two years I've known him, I doubt he's gone a day without spinning records for 2-3 hours.

GIJody is a stupendous badass - PPCOCK ETC TAKE NOTE, there's a good chance Jody is your new favourite DJ. Jody was throwing down acid techno to the Calgary scene back in 1997, playing the 3am slot at 5,000 person techno parties...

Cover is $5 after 10pm, venue is LICK at 455 Abbott Street, beer is $4. The stereo is 90% Mackie, the crowd is unpretentious, and TECHNO TECHNO.
