Alanis Morsette Jagged little pill 10 yr anni acoustic version
Fuck Jagged little pill was such a great album but the production on this one is killer! I never liked her that much b/c 10 years ago I was 10 but I remember my sister banging out this shit regularly and now I see why. "you oughta know" is one of my fav all time songs. The acoustic version is ten times better because you can actually hear the raw emotion coming from her voice without an electric guitar and percussion drowning her out.
"And everytime you speak her name does she know that you told me you would hold me until you die? until you die? well you're still alive...." |

I have to listen to this album every fucking day for 6 to 8 hours at a time
it was crap the first time it came out, but at least it was tolerable... now she's redone it and butchered all her old songs with bad new voice inflections on all her most popular notes from the old songs Ironic, for example, sounds like a totally different song than it was... and it's still a stupid song because there's not one jot of irony in any of the lyrics... the only irony is that it was written by a woman who doesn't know the definition of irony basically, I just hate this album with a burning passion and every time I listen to any of the songs on it I want to tear the speakers off the walls and go Office Space on them |

haha I feel you on the Ironic bit. It is quite ironic. Never been a fan of that track.
you work at starbucks right? is there any of the cds that they sell there actually worth listening too? I always see pretty mainstream stuff there that seems like it has the potential to be good ie; that ray album. |

Ray Charles: Duets
it's basically just a bunch of awesome songs redone with whomever he felt would do good work... the duet that he and Willie Nelson do of that old Frank Sinatra song "When I Was 17" is pretty good... but that's mainly cuz it inspires Simpsons memories... "I had a very good beer... I purchased it... with my fake ID... my name was Brian McGhee" and there's some other one that's pretty good, I just can't figure out which damn one it is... it's got a bunch of funky house tracks by Ella Fitzgerald but Starbucks is generally the last place on earth u would want to buy a CD... it's like $18.95 for Jagged Little Pill |
