THE ORIGINAL BEDROOM ROCKERS CONTEST

Are you a budding DJ? Never had the chance to show off your skills on a large scale? Want to show Vancouver how you move the floor?
Well, here's your chance!

CFRO's only electronic music radio show, Art of Beatz Radio, is broadcasting for an extended 4 hour show on August 4, 2005 (10-2am), and we want to give 2 lucky 'up and coming' DJ's the chance to flex their skills on-air.

Hosted by Vancouver turntable mainstays, Eve, Motomasa and Kuma, Art of Beatz is all about community, having featured some of Vancouver's top veterans across all genres as well as guests from across Canada and North America. Names like Gavin Hardkiss, Kode9, Tyler Stadius, Psidream, Tomas Jirku, Quadra, Vernon, Phoenix Olivia and Jacob Cino have graced our studio, just to name a few. But for as much as we enjoy having the veterans represent, now is the time for those of you just beginning to rock the fader to get your chance to show your stuff.

Any genre/sub-genre of electronic music is accepted. Breaks, House, Prog, Jungle, Grime: we don't care as long as you bring it!

No mixes done on Traktor or in Ableton Live will be accepted, CD-j's and decks only thanks. It's not that we don't love the programs, it's just that we want to see what you can do on the ones and two's.
