wow, if ever i needed proof that fnk is over run by wankers, this thread would pretty much sum it up.

i myself am not a great appreciator of current house music... however i am an appreciator of good music and house, like any other genre, has it's rare gems. One of my favorite house producers atm is Carmel, i've only got a couple of tunes but the shit is slammin! He's more known in the bruk/nujazz scene 'cause his beats & sounds fall a bit outside the norm for house (ie not boring), but there's no mistaking the house music vibe in his tracks. Beatconductor is another producer i'm feeling bigtime, and while he churns out dubby breaks & hiphop cuts a plenty, he's been dropping funkafied afro-latin house beats of late that are seriously top-shelf shit. Dublex Inc from Germany are not known for conforming to any one genre of music, but when they do a house track it's guaranteed to be filled with soul & innovation. Chicken Lips and all their affiliated projects get big points from me for reviving that early 80's disco-punk sound, in a house music context. ATOC have the whole 'new wave' house sound nailed, i thought that sound was played out but i'm loving their last couple of remixes....

anywayz that's some house that i dig... it's about as far a s you can get from that Gabriel & Dresden stuff (which i can't stand, sorry bitches!) and still be called house, but if you come from the breakier side of things i'd say you should be able to appreciate some of the artists i mentioned. give it a shot yo.

My solemn purpose is not really to bash him. I just don't like it when people try to put such vast seperations between genres that come from the same roots. There is no reason to hate on House because you're a DnB head... and vice versa.
I'd totally drop a couple artists, tunes that would go hand in hand with G&D's tunes... but with the fact that he started this thread with a "I hate house" comment, urges me not to help him at all. because i find that disrespectful.

this post wasnt about hating on house at all. in fact, it has NOTHING to do with him hating on house. him simply stating the fact that he hates house does NOT mean hes hating on it, hes only stating his personal opinion.

I agree that this whole thing has been stretched for far too long. and i deffinately take blame for parts. But what i mean by disrespecting is that he does not have to state his hate for anything. We all know that its his personal opinion. noone thought that that shit came out of the bible.
