Acapella software?

Just wondering if there is some type of software that takes, or even HELPS taking an acapella out of a track? Because man, this is a pain in the ass!

Any help greatly appreciated.

technically there is only one way. get the acapella, and invert the wave then mix them EXACTLY over top. (technically it's 'possible' but at the same time, it's totally not)

^I think you mean get the instrumental, and yes, inverting the phase and combining can work as long as the instrumental and full version are exactly the same (excluding the vocal of course)

dabbs is right, if you wanna take a vocal out, you need the acapella leaving you with an instrumental.

ok, then you'd have to do what i said with the tune, and the instrumental.
but i just tied to do this myself last week finally, using a CDS (so ripped straight to waves, no encoding loss) and it's IMPOSSIBLE to get right. 'technically' it works, but it's not feasable

Yeah i've been trying a couple of different things, and nothing works! AGH! Okay so, looking for Rihanna - Pon de replay or MVP - Rock ya body accapellas, or the Rock ya body Zinc remix. Dab I know I asked you about that Zinc rmx but any idea where I could find that "Pon de replay" acapella?

I guess I should PM you, but oh well.

the only way that phase inverting an instrumental overtop of the original will work is if they're the exact same length and you line them up together exactly, but most instrumentals are purposely made to be slightly different than the original... also you won't totally eliminate the music, just drastically reduce the volume of it, so it's pretty well useless anyways
