Denon DN-S8000 - Fake or real?

Got this from Skratchworx.com:

We've been here before right? Is this yet another hoax or the real deal? A guy called Dave has posted a link in the CDT story below to an image alleged to be a 3D render of Denon's alleged next super deck. Of course I checked with the good guys at Denon who said it is indeed a fake. But it seems that someone has gone to a lot of trouble to make such a hoax.

But it looks pretty real to me. Bearing in mind that the file came from the www.dns8000.com domain (registered to D&M holdings - head office of Denon US) and that www.dns8000.com forwards to www.denondj.com - it seems that someone has gone to a lot of time and expense to make such a hoax.

Looking at the image, on the left had side we can see a number of logos - DVD, SD and USB being the most interesting. Are we talking DVD audio or video as well? I guess the DTS logo would indicate full on video.

Size wise - it's a bit confused. The 4" pitch faders (2 of them) with gaps in between indicate a size of around 300+mm, meaning a 7/8" platter.

Anyone else care to tear this apart from an authenticity point of view?

I don't know myself - thinking it might be a fake though.
