United Djs of America im not sure of which volume or edition but i do know that it was mixed by the Fabulous DJ Taylor
Why ? Because it brings me back five or six years when the scene was ill and Summerlove was in full effect ........ Ahhh bring back G-House |

i thought that album sucked you looking forward to mike shinodas fort minor project? mikes got more skill then im sure most people give him credit for. guests on it (last i heard) black thought, styles of beyond, common, some others i cant remember only thing im not excited about is jay z is exec. producer, supposedly because of his "retirement" he wont be picking up the mic. i hope he doesnt get on the album but i bet he does not excited about common either, hes hit or miss... but he can lay down some good shit when it clicks |

hmmm i dunno this is just my opinion but i find common is pretty consistant with his sound. he doesn't throw out big hits that get alot of play on the radio often (the light is pretty much one of his only big hits) but his last 3 albums have had a steady progression in sound. he hasn't really changed much.
as for mike shinoda i might check it out. but i think he's a bit of a nerd. hahaha hes hillarious on the DVD. the presense of jigga makes him all struck. lol he's aiight on the mic... but i think the singer dude (dunno his name) makes linkin park. but then again i'm not a big linkin park follower. been a jigga follower since grade 8 though. lol |

as for jayz i like a few of his tracks but he does that baller shit that gets to me. so redundant these days i dont know much about shinoda off-mic (doesnt really matter; dont care what an artist projects image-wise as long as its honest). so hes in awe of jay?haha i agree chester (the singer dude) is the core of linkin park, im not a big fan of LP due to there rock-based sound but a lot of shinodas verses show he can do more. fort minors gonna be an all hip hop album have you ever heard the track dedicated some of mike shinodas lyrics from it: Code:
copy/pasted_may be a bit off "I have a dream of a scene between the green hills Clouds pull away and the sunlight's revealed People don't talk about keeping it real It's understood that they actually will And intoxicated and stimulated emcees Staring in the trees, paranoid, are gone in the breeze Watch them flee, hip-hop heads Take a walk with me and what you'll see Is a land where the sand is made up of crushed up wax And the sky beyond you is krylon blue And everybody speaks in a dialect of rhyme And emcees have left materialism behind them Meanwhile I just grip my mic And hope me and my team make it through alright Because say what you will, and say what you might But don't ignore who it's for at the end of the night I've seen a lot of shit, I've talked to a bum Out on sunset strip, he asked me "How would you feel If everybody acted like you didn't exist You'd lose your grip, probably eventually flip." So let it be known, the only reason that we do this Is so you can pick it up and just bang your head to it While emcees fight to see who can be the commonest Be floatin overhead like a space odyssey monolith Over seeing the game, over being part of the same ol' thing It's all gonna change in a hurricane of darkness and pain And acidic rain and promises that you won't do it again" |
