mp3 splitting program?

looking for a simple to use program that will split mp3s into half or a certain size.

i have a ton of 120min (2hour) sets that i cant burn, so i need to cut them into 2x 60min mp3s then i can burn them.

any suggestions?

optimum sound is an unknown quantity at this point
Go to downloads.com, do a search for mp3 splitter. You should get a whole bunch, if you use torrents, you can also do a search on one of the engines out there. As for which is a good one? I dont know, download a few see what works for you. If you got nero, Im pretty sure you can use the nero soundtrax app as well as try finding cool edit pro which is probably the best. Oh yes soundforge works great too.

Digital Over will become famous soon enough
Andrew, its totally depends on what you want, if you want all the tools of the trade, I'd say Logic or Cubase. If its just for just chops, pastes, etc, get sound forge 6. Its definately the best wav editting program.

audacity.sourceforge.net

Just don't re-encode them to mp3 after... encode to .wav and burn that directly to the CD.

Exactly what I was going to say. There will be no tiny little gap between the tracks if it's in WAV. Can't go wrong with Soundforge.
