opinion, knowledge on tables and mixer that i found for sale

this is what he is selling...

2 stanton str8-80 tables
1 stanton Sk2 mixer
comes with slipmats and 520sk carts

all for 1000$... Is this a decent set-up? I don't really know the technical side of what makes tables better than others beyond that technic 1200s are the accepted standard and that direct drive is a must... It seems like a fairly good deal to me...

the stats:

Stanton Str8-80:

stanton sk2 mixer:

http://www.stantonmagnetics.com/stingray/mixers_sk2.asp

also, one immediate thing i notice is that the tables have a straight tone-arm, rather than bent slightly... what difference does this make, is one better than the other?

what does anyone think about this gear? much appreciated. Thanks!! :)

the stanton decks are pieces of shit.. i'd rather use a belt drive (well no i wouldnt) They're nice to look at, but the torque is worse than gems

I have proof :)

it's not that bad...

mixer is decent, and will do what you need...
tables, are alright... But I think everyone here has techs...

750 would be a better deal...

It's good to learn on, but it won't last to long...
