Numark gear (tt1650's + dm1050)

These alright? I know they don't have the highest torque of the numarks and there's no reverse/adjustable torque like on the ttx1's but for introduction is this an alright setup..?

Sorta like the numark battle pak minus the headphones but with the target light (on the decks), fader curve, fader reverse, other inputs, illuminated levels, and mid eq

Not looking to spend too much money as it's somewhat tight. And I know you'll be saying "save up" or "don't bother buying them" but I've been after them for a while and not looking to spend more than I have to.

Oh btw, that setup is 300 USD

Edit- for mainly scratch/hip-hop and very little beatmatch work, as I know that the lower numarks have a little bit of pitch innacuracy.

have fun trying to scratch on tables with shitty torque

basically, after about 6 months (or less) you'll be looking into buying a pair of techs anyways, so i'd suggest just buying them initially and save yourself the trouble

I thought you could just allow yourself to learn to give it another initial flick to get it goin. The torque isn't terrible like youd see on old really old bd decks, after all they are designed for scratching.. but I guess I was wrong...

Well I only came to the conclusion that it's low torque from a couple reviews (the rest saying they positive things) and one of the features states: "Direct drive high torque motor". I know it's not going to be an instant speed thing like the ttx1s but it couldn't be too bad, could it?

I know there's good solutions in the under 500 CDN price range, what could they be?

nah ive used the numarks you speak of and they're pretty bad. they'll slowly degrade to the point where if you put any pressure on the platter the platter will stop

i'd seriously save up.. it'll be worth it :)

ive got the ttx and i kinda wish i bought techs but the ttx's are really well made. the tt500 will have a stronger motor than the tt200's , but the tt200's should be decent for your needs

They're horrible. don't waste your money on crap.
Save some cash and buy techs... or the ttx's

you'll save a lotta money and time that way.

the tt500's are absolutley insane... I use them, and don't think I'd ever go with anything else.. 4 different pitch settings, retarded amounts of torque(higest on the market right now I believe, with a little over 5.0, I think its 5.1 or 2, sum shit) with the right needles, and using the straight arm set-up, they are amazing for scratching, to spin anything really, IMO..

yeah they're pretty nutty, seeing as the ttx's only have 4.something and they're the top line.

I'm aiming for the 200's now, after reading so many reviews about the 500's/200's/1650's.

overall I think it's just less torque and not as accurate for beatmatching. but I couldn't care less about that. And boasting the 1.7 kg/cm torque on the site, has gotta mean something. Makes me wonder what the 1650/25's have

I don't mind the digital pitch. heh Helps me if I get both tracks really close and forget which one was slower/faster.
