^^pretty much everything. whatever is a good bargain.
Top of my list slide guitar, tambourine, bongos, analog synth, some ethnic percussion , bass guitar, microphone, amp, speakers, mixer, sampler, turntables... Not that i have the money to afford all of these . but if i see a good bargain im gonna jump on it. Id like to eventually accumulate a whole shitload of different instruments to aid me in my creative endeavors. I was thinkin maybe, are there some good Pawn shops around, like good for instruments/equipment? Or maybe some sorta buy/sell music store? |

there's loads of shops on the southern stretch of granville street downtown that hawk used audio equipment, but don't expect to find a bargain. most of the shops are up to speed on what the gear should sell for, and a good lot of them mark up their prices into harsh rip-off territory. ebay can prove fruitful but you've got to get in at the right time.. there's a lot of shrewd people tracking ebay and it can be difficult to get a steal unless the connaisseurs are snoozing.
most real deals on gear come from people you know. ask around, it's possible that you have an uncle or a third cousin that bought an sh-101 or something in the late 80's on a whim and after meager attempts at musicianship let it fester in the attic for decades |
