stanton slip mats

i just got a new set of stanton slip mats, the problem is it comes with 4 mats, what are they for, i think the cotton goes on the top, and the rubbery one on the bottom, is that right?

rubbery one should just be used for listening purposes. The cotton mats should sit directly on top of the metal unless you have a thin, plastic sheet to create a static field keeping the slipmat sticking to the table rather than static clining to your vinyl when you take the record off.

what if i use the rubbery one as a plastic shield to prevent static, under the clothy one? will that work?
