How to get your favorite tracks pressed ???

anyone know were to get your favorite tracks pressed and how much usually they go for ???????

Note : Do you need to have the song or will they get it specially made for you ????

There's a dubplate cutter on the island (that's the nearest place that does it I think). The prices usually start around $50 for a 12" plate. Keep in mind, these are dubplates, not actual vinyl. they'll last between 20-50 plays depending on how you treat them.

A pressing of 200 (500?) records will run you around $1000. $600-700 for the negative master (which is used to press the vinyl) and a couple bucks for every record pressed with it.


Hopefully, in the near future, we'll be seeing more places using either Vestax or Kinston vinyl cutters that'll cut onto actual vinyl. I think the kingston one is out right now, but I think it only cuts dubplates right now.

usually the smallest run of tracks you can get pressed is 500 tracks and you can get that for @ 2000 us. unless you know somone from a record label or with a record press. you can get a dub plate cut for 30-40$ but it will wear out after a few plays. not to mention that alot of places won't press tracks unless it is your work due to copywright laws etc.
