For the last 4 years, a deadly new strain of the flu has slowly infiltrated the underground, and while this new strain has developed relatively unnoticed, the point of outbreak has come.
Soon the barriers will crumble and the Epidemic will rise. The next chapter in the story of Canadian breaks producers Influenza is at hand with the launch of Epidemic Recordings.
INFLUENZA ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF EPIDEMIC RECORDINGS
Jason Craig and Jeff Malcolm are pleased to announce the launch of Epidemic Recordings. After the pairs success over the last few years, this new venture represents the natural step forward in the exciting industry.
Epidemic Recordings will primarily be focused on Breaks however will also be releasing accompanying Drum & Bass tracks and B-Sides. These two musical genres are the backbone of Influenza, who look forward to showcasing the talents of others to the world.
The initial rollout stage of the label will release all tracks solely in digital format. Distribution will be focused on web based electronic channels including the top 100 online music stores and beyond. Future outlets include: iTunes, MSN, Rhapsody, Napster, Musicmatch, MusicNet, MusicNow, eMusic, Yahoo! Music, Sony Connect, Audio Lunchbox, Beatport, OD2, Loudeye, Karma Download, Virgin Digital and many more.
The first release on the label is going to feature a new face in the breakbeat world, Hidden Forces. This trio from the USA has shown its face a few times in various mixes by Influenza. Hidden Forces comes to the public with their first original track Close to You. This release will also showcase remixes by both Influenza, and a dnb remix by Psidream.
The Launch date and first release date will be scheduled for November 1st, 2005.
