EM Pick of the Week > Basement Jaxx (Double Whammy)
//ARTIST(S)
Basement Jaxx XL Recordings http://www.basementjaxx.co.uk/ The production duo of Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buxton released several of Britain's most respected and enjoyable progressive house anthems of the '90s from their base in South London. The 1995 single "Samba Magic" was picked up for distribution by Virgin, and in time, Basement Jaxx was drawing praise as one of the top house production units, from all corners of the American and British house community. After being courted by several major labels, Basement Jaxx signed to the independent XL Recordings (also home to the Prodigy) and readied their debut full-length Remedy for a 1999 release. //TRACKLISTING
175MB @ 128 kbp - Think twice, don't slice.. (Right click 'Save As..' to download) //MY REVIEW - 10/10 Now this maybe near five years old, but it has to be one of my favorite compositions in recent memory. I have heard it inside out, upside down and shared it with everyone I can think of. Best of all it sounds great ever time! I will leave it at that, enjoy Basement Jaxx. //OTHER PICKS |

175MB @ 128 kbp - Help out, don't pout.. (Right click 'Save As..' to download) //MY REVIEW - 9/10 Little latin feel to start it off, less R&B/Hiphop then the 2001 set. Definatly a quality comp. Post your thoughts.. |
