just use the pitch controls i guess when yur cueing a record and beatmatching in the headphones, using 2 hands wouldnt matter but when yur playing both records out of the speakers, i personally thing that using the pitch controls only to fine tune the beatmatch works alot better (if u do i properly of course). when u touch the vinyl to fix the mix, theres a huge risk of fuckin it up.... and alot of the times it sounds very obvious that yur fixing beatmatch. lots of vinyls weigh different so the feel for each one has its own individual one so i guess knowing how to fix a mix smoothly using only the pitch controls will make mixes more seamless. but its fuckin hard takes alotta practice |

what i do is, say if both records are already playing and the beats start to go off, i just tweak the spindle then quickly adjust the pitch slightly (if i gotta use one hand) |

^umm... ok. you want to beatmatch with one hand, not tweak the spindle and not touch the record? wtf? that's impossible dude. thats just fiddling with the pitch control. and if you do that, then the crowd can hear when you fix it because the pitch will have to go down lower to catch up with the record then back to normal.
yay! 600th post! |
