haha, oh wow, space.
space in ibiza is about one of the weirdest experiences ive ever had in my whole life, apparently alot of you dont know how things work in this club. first of all, it starts at 8:30am, the cover is around 35 euro, making it around 50-55 bux canadian, im speaking from personal experience here, having been there about 3 months ago. the music they played in the club was THE most eccentric music ive ever heard of in my life, yet, addicting. its also amazing to realize that this club is full to capacity (or what seemed like it at least) every morning, which had to have been at least 3000 ppl. you see, in ibiza, everyone drinks red bull and does coke, they party at night and party through the day- SPACE is one of the few clubs that starts up in the AM making it a haven for those that are all fucked up on whatever drug you can name, and staying up for their 3rd, 4th, 5th day. SPACE is sketchy central. you know how after a good night of partying at a rave over here, its so shocking when you step out of the venue at 7 or 8am? other ppl see you, lookin all fucked up, things seem strange, sketchiness is setting in. well yea, this is what space is about, pure sketchiness. half of the club itself is outdoors and seems refreshing, until you look at other people's faces and then their actions. there is a certain track that they played that night that i only found and downloaded recently, ive no idea what the name of the track is but it goes somethin like "SOMEONE FUCKED MY WASHING MACHINE! WHO FUCKED MY WASHING MACHINE.." and so on and so on, as you can tell, space was a traumatic experience for me and i DO NOT reccommend it for the faint of heart, you will come out a different person, being more confused about life. go to ibiza, go to all the big clubs - pacha, amnesia, es paradis, but dont go to space.

Don't listen to ja_raul, Space is an experience not to be missed. He's the only one of the group of us that went that doesn't want to go back to that carnival of sketchiness. Hell, go there completely sober and just sit around and people-watch. Makes for hilarious times.

Actually a quite popular electro song, so I'm guessing the music you heard in there was ELECTRO: not nearly enough of it in Vancouver. It's not weird, it's just not here! It might come eventually. My boyfriend Evan is getting up a good electro record collection. As for the sketchers. That's common in any day club around the world and after hours (Gorg is pretty bad for that). How can anyone stay up that long without pick me ups so meh it might be scary but the way it is.

Electro has been picking up alot since I went to Ibiza for summer 2004. Its all over the ministry of sound cd's these days. It will be in Vancouver soon enough and it will be in a big way I'm sure. It's just too good to pass up.
Vaths night ,Cocoon at Amnesia, was filled with lots of Electro, mostly on the techno side of things though. What an awesome night that was.

space is the best club in ibiza, or perhaps a close second behind dc10.. it's not just an afterhours, it's a day club. at least half the crowd at space by 2PM have not been partying all night- it's pure day clubbing.
'we love space' on sundays is highly overrated. best space event in my idiot opinion is wednesday morning's 'in bed with space' with barbara tucker. four poster beds and serious weirdos. and post-la troya.

"In Bed With Space" was the party ja_raul and I attended, and I really have to disagree with your statement that Space is the best club on Ibiza. Hell, I had more fun at Es Paradis, and that's reputed to be one of Ibiza's shittiest "superclubs". I won't even bother comparing Space to Amnesia, there's just no point.
Edit: The La Troya crowd scared the everloving fuck out of me. In a good way, though. :D
