http://headphone.com/ http://www.headphonereviews.org/ http://www.goodcans.com/ http://www.head-fi.org/ for that price im thinking a low end pair of sennheisers, or perhaps a pair of AKG's, or behringers? Perhaps maybe the sony mdr 3's? If its just for listening, you can get a sic sounding pair of grado labs sr60's, but they wont cut it for dj duty, as they are open headphones, and not very durable. Perhaps if you could save up another 100 bucks, you could definetly get a pair of solid sennheisers, or if you save up another 200$ you could grab the old faithfulls such as the techs, or sony7's? Try a few used gear sites like usedvancouver, or maybe even go the ebay route. Im sure masterplan productions (i think theyre still in business?) might have a few cans in good condition kickn around? If you go for the sonymdrv/dj 700's buy the extended warrantly because they little cylindrical connection that is connected to the forks which hold the cups, seem to crack very often! gluck with your search peace+'spect fable ps: tom lee music/a+b sound/the soundroom/hi-fi centre are a few places to check locally, long+mquade has a few senns as well. |
