HAHAHAHHAHA oh man that was so funny =) i may not be right but this is what i've always believed progressive to be. progressive is a genre to me that sounds good ONLY on a big stormin sound system. its like borderline between house and trance. its alot like techno actually but its slower... alot like house but faster and darker.... hmmm how should i describe.... theres very few buildups in progressive house.. alike house but its beat structure is more like trance.... its got alot of loops like techno but its not as techy like techno.......... max graham plays alotta progressive but also plays alotta trance as well so i guess listening to his stuff wouldnt help musch..... errr... acutally thats the most i can really help u with... its hard to describe since i've never been into progressive.... its a VERY repetitive genre to me.... most of the songs sound the same but its great to dance to when yur high off yur fuckin ass |

its supposed 2 be out there, cutting edge like
"progressive" in a nutshell is basically that the way the song has been made/arranged. Prog tracks are made "forward thinking" or different from the usual way. i.e. build up - breakdown - build up etc - just trying to be new and fresh. |
