Old mixtapes you played till they didn't work anymore..

I have 5 that stick out in my mind...

1. True playaz, like 99 style Hype & Zinc mix, all it had was "True Playaz" on each side. This mixtape may also still be in circulation too. Sooo dope.

2. Scotty Oh, one those big banging old school speed garage mixes (it had 'buzz in the speaker' and 're-peat!' (ATGOC - repeated love) on it, fuck banging mix, good thing I found it ripped on cd years later!

3. Jello, one of his old bangin funky house mixes, like i'm talking 5-6 years old. This one is probably still in circulation too.

4. Vinyl Sindicate feat Caddy Cad "L-O-V-E, that's what we need in the
co-mmunity" man that MC sucked, but a sick 99-2000 mix..

5. Me and a good friend of mine did a road trip all over the island when we were like 17, we made one mixtape (one side, all dj icey tracks from his first two cds) the other was from this old school triphop cd. To this day, I've been unable to find that cd again.. (and i've looked. lots)

Man i'm oldschool.. Anyone have anymore priceless mixtapes?
(And oh by 'in circulation", i mean that I passed the mixtape on, to someone who passed it on, and so fourth)

Definitely one of my favorite early Trance mixes. Tons of early Cosmic Gate and Tidy style sounds.

Best Hard House and classic cheesey anthem mix ever. So dope.

I also have a speed garage tape from 97 that I still listen to occasionally. I'm so glad it's not completely worn out yet.

This really old Tyler Lewis tape, literally played it until my walkman destroyed it and then stole my friends and did the same with it too. Must have come out in...98? 99? It had some seriously cheesy funky house and speed garage.

Actually I wish I still had it.

I got alot, i've got a few tapes i made from sunday night sessions on 96.1 5 or 6 years ago. Even though i always had school the next day i always stayed up till like 3am listening every sunday night. Plus i've got qutie a few i made from the g-spot around the same time, i still listen to them sometimes.

i still rinse a slip n slide oldschool tape, but i was smart and made copies so they could be stolen/broken :P

Jay is right though, I have probably about 20 old school cds of my produced stuff, which I sold out of the trunk of my car for a while.. haha. I wonder where those cds are now.. ? Some of the cds I sold have tracks on them I lost when my HD crashed in 2001, LOVE to hear those again..

Used to have an old Jungle Soundclash tape that we used to rinse in my mates car everywhere we went until he took it into a party and left it there!!!!! :(

Fuck that tape had some ruff tunes on it. i miss it so :(


also had an old Dj Mark Smith Live on 3 Dex @ Rezerection in 95 from back in my hardcore days :)

ive got and still am able to listen to an old ass mixtape with dnb on one side and house on the other, i believe it was andy b on the one side and the house side started out with some lines from a movie then a sample that went "party people in the house"

also a tripwire tape "deeper"

and the three i wish i still had but have been lost

terrance toy mixin disco with crisco

an old home made mixtape with a bunch of dnb tunes on it, the one that sticks out the most is the munsters them with dnb over top

and a czech downtempo tape

if anyone knows where to get a copy of any of these please let me know
