Good Recordign Programs
What are some good recording programs, preferably free to download. I need features like the ability to record in a whole set, then split that set up into seperate tracks (possibly without breaking the set in pieces), like the one by Griffith for mac's.
Any ideas? |

protools is for recording. like, if you have a rock band, and you want to produce an album, you'd record each part into protools, then do your mixdown.
if you're producing electronic music, protools is good for the final mixdown, but doesn't really have the best tools for writing music... like, the MIDI editing stuff is really basic. You're better off with something like Cubase or Logic, or Ableton Live. |

Sound Forge Wavelab Cool Edit Pro (basically Adobe Audition now) Cubase Audacity Mac Audacity Bias Peak Cubase Audacity is the only actual free program. Everything else you'll have to get from a friend or whatever p2p program you like to use. |
