my new deck stand!

Well, after humming and hawwing for a few months over a deck stand, I decided to build one myself! Sure it took a little longer than anticipated, but for someone who has never built anything in his life, I'm damn proud of it. Made it out of pine, and put a nice shiny stain on it. Saved myself a ton of $$, and learnt the basics of woodworking! Now hopefully the pictures show up on here :205:

nice work.....my personal fav that I have had for years is the JERKER by ikea.

You take off the main desk part completely and just use the top shelf for the decks. then you can attach as many swiveling shelves for amps/monitors etc.

couldn't live without it.

Hahah... I remember that desk! -- You had it at your place on Cambie.

Ahhh yes... the one where your cat jumped on the decks when you were recording the "PLAY IT LOUD" Hard House anthems mix.

more like old school progressive anthems...kinda more bouncy tall paul-ish. made it for anb audition for the caymans and I totally want to keep it for sentimental value. Unfortunately kraig is hiding it.

I would of just sugested one very large solid drafting desk. You can ajust the hight and slant. FITS EVERYTHING and still looks really nice and tidy. I believe its fron ikea (but about 10 years ago)

What im in dier serch for is a desk set up were I can fit my DJ set up, computer, and still have some writing space all in one. May have to turn my room into a home office :p

Thanks for all the compliments! It's nice to work off of something that you know you created! :116: Now I just need to build a matching computer desk... hmmmm.....

dangamouse... I'll put together a little house-warming deck stand for you, if you give me some serious lessons on sc-scr-scra-scra-scratching. dangamouse-style! Countdown's on until the move bro! Maple Ridge won't know what hit 'em!

Socool... I wish that I could say I could make you one, but to be honest, it was a pain in the ass to make. I had to borrow saws and other tools to make it, so to put another one together would mean borrowing the tools again. And to be honest, wood these days isn't very cheap. Although it cost me nothing to build it in terms of labour, the wood was still $160. So unfortunately, the answer is no. :114:
