knowledge magazine

hey normaly chapters carries knowledge,but it's always at least a month behind and lately its not even around.


anybody know where else i can get this fine dnb magazine? anybody have a subscription? i checked the website and if i'mnot mistaken you gotta order it issue by issue,laaaame :(

i looked in to it, and buying it off the shelf is way cheaper than ordering a subscription, other than chapters...nope

Yeah, it's super expensive to order online.. And a yearly subscription isn't even a years worth of mags.. only 10 issues.. and yes lately local shops have not had any at all, it's true!

Chapters suuucks at keeping current issues... not to mention they always loose the cds or give you the wrong one..

There are other stores that sell it (coles, for instance) but I've yet to find a store that stocks the current issue, it's always a month behind (which is even more stupid considering how fast drum n bass moves..)

you can get copies of knowledge at Boomtown records if i'm not mistaken

Boomtown doesnt have any, they still havent even goten the December issue.
If ANYONE finds DECEMBER issues please let me know as i am mentioned within the first 5 pages!!!!!!!!

ahhh we've got a couple copies of the January issue in stock, dj hype cover... not sure what happened with the December issue

Anyone can submit a press release or little blurb to Knowledge, in fact if you are a DNB/breaks/hip hop producer or label, you should be sending them any info on tunes and label/producer news.

i'd guess because it's a free mag, they can't make a buck off it so why bother

i'd just as soon see mags like Rinse stay in the domain of the independant shops... where the staff & clientele actually care about the subject matter. Of course more exposure is good... but leave a stack of those at Chapters & they'll mostly get picked up by people who just grab it cause it's free & then toss it without a second glance.

I don't know the ins and outs of magazine distribution, but uhm.. what happened to the next two issues? Wasn't the London Elec issue, like, October? Weird! I miss it! It's prob the best drum n bass mag out there (ATM comes close forsure)
