i've always loved the combination of hip hop & reggae... BEP being a notable exception. they suck unruly amounts of ass. Although i don't consider them reggae at all, they just have a track or two that knock off dancehall rhythms ina really bad way.

as for what you'd call it? not too sure, there's plenty of sub-genres that fuse elements of both. Tons of urban pop music nowadays shows a reggae influence, and hip hop has become synonymous with Top 40....

it's too bad about BEP .. they used to be sick. I really enjoyed their older tracks. Then they came back with that fuckin aweful fergy chick and produced pure commercial pop garbage .. what the hell is wrong with people nowadays.

funny too how 90% of all the BEP songs out now are sampled... total void of any creativity... and don't get me started on how they butchered "gone" by jack johnson...
