Fans of The Postal Service!!!
I know there are a few of you on the board who are just as geeky about music as I am. I literally get giddy when I pick up on a new band that I really, really dig on.
I'M GIDDY!!!! Check out a newer band called Electric President. If you like the electro-pop mellowness of Postal Service you'll love these guys. They're self-titled new album is along the same vein. I won't go so far as to say it's a carbon copy but it's as close as you'll get without it actually being P.S. Download 3 tracks here! I don't think that this group is as good or as polished as P.S. but I think if you're a fan of P.S. you'll like this just the same. |

This stuff is great. Not really all that Postal Sevice like however. The Electric Presidents sound is far more accoustic, which I actually like quite a bit. I also find Postal Service a bit cheesey, mostly the male lead singer's vocals (love the girl's voice tho), but also the fluffy, 140+BPM 4/4 rave beats. None of the above in this stuff. Don't get me wrong, I like Postal Service, but this is better IMO.

And if you're getting sick of something is most likely because the people like it so much they keep it on repeat. Popularity craze = burn out Even so, talent should still be honoured with ups. I mean there is a lot of shit i don't listen to but i still respect it or consider it well produced. |

You couldn't go to a single house party in town without hearing it either. Quote:
It's a hella catchy song, and like all hella catchy songs, it has a shelf life. I personally think that shelf life expired some point last year. For now I'll just enjoy Madonna's new album for another few months until Electro-clash/-house starts to really suck. And Death Cab still sucks. =P |
