New Bass Heavy Radio Station: BASSJUNKEES
There's a new BASS HEAVY radio station on the internet starting this weekend, and it's called BASSJUNKEES.COM
Based out of the UK, it's sports artists from all over the world and 24/7/365 access to the hottest and newest electronic Bass Grooves (DnB, Breaks, Garage, electro and some other prime stuff!). And that means my radio show starts this Feb. 25th!! 05:00 - 07:00AM GMT = 6-9pm PST this Saturday night!! Jorah Kai :: Hear no Evil w/ guest DJ Ill-Esha (PH1, Agroculture, Reverse, Breakbeat Science) ill-esha: guest details: ill-esha began her music career singing and playing instruments in bands before crossing over into the electronic world as an MC/vocalist in 1997. She performed all over North America with house, techno and drum n bass DJs before taking up spinning in 1999. She developed her now trademark style of singing, MCing and spinning simultaneously. She plays all styles of broken beat: d&b/jungle, breaks, hip hop, downtempo, 2step and oldskool, and has performed with names like De La Soul, Andy C, Dara, AK 1200, Dieselboy, Usual Suspects, Klute, LTJ Bukem, and Mickey Finn. She wrote and sang vocals for New York producer Datcyde's "Social Skillz", originally featured on the Breakbeat Science "Summer Solstice EP" and subsequently re-released four times in various formats due to its success. Featured on a CBC television show as in-house DJ/composer, she has spun on MTV Canada's video countdown and appeared in several documentaries, in between touring Canada and the United States. This summer, she made her debut in Taiwan at the Heineken Summer Music Festival. Currently, she is focusing on live-oriented performances with her collective, Metaphysics (a typical show consists of turntables, synths, effects, computers, live percussion and vocals). She operates a recording studio with her partner Symmetrik and tries to work on tunes in her spare time. She is affiliated with PH1.ca and Agroculture in Vancouver, RFA in Seattle and is a proud representative of Hardstep Sistaz and Junglistic Sistaz. & tune in the following week: (March 04/06) for: M07S (Dj Culture, Orange County, California - www.djmo7s.com) and always, your host, Jorah Kai http://www.jorahkai.com :: Listen to my new mix @ http://www.freedomdanish.com |
