Freeware wav-mp3 coverter for osx?

I'm looking for a good free-ware wav-mp3 coverter for osx. Anybody?

I just use Itunes. It comes with OS X and the quality is good.

LAME is the best, it's available for every platform in various forms. There's a plugin for iTunes that is definitely worth getting.

iTunes sometimes leaves skips or pops in the middle of encodings, just like Winamp and *especially* Windows Media Player. LAME makes the best encodings every time.

Plus it's free, like all the best things in life. :)

I've never had a problem with pops/skips in Itunes. I'll be sure to check out LAME tho, sounds like it could be a better alternative.
