I was kinda let down by this album. Just didn't have much spark. Beans (the other part of the Consortium) is about to release his best album yet on Thirsty Ear called Only. If you like the above, you'll like this too. Nothing like tasty live hip-hop beats performed by legendary jazz minds.

Nothing beats the original Anti-Pop Consortium, though (Beans + Airborn Audio). PING-PONG!!! Warp Records doesn't do many hip-hop releases. I'm assuming they'll do more now that Lex has split off.

Recently chanced upon a crew from KC, Missourri called Deep Thinkers. The lyrics are intelligent and challenging, the beats are fucking awesome. From dnb to reggae - great! Personally i think the mcing is far too muted though. The latest album is "Necks Move"
