Or a cdj w/ the ability to save multiple cue points. This actually isn't that crazy. Check out djvibe's archived videos. I can't remember which one it is exactly but one breaks/scratch dj did something similar just by repeatedly touching the record to change the pitch of the record creating a melody similar to this. The guy in this video had a record with all the individual notes on different parts of the record. Both are challenging, but I think the former requires more skill than simply needle dropping and memorization like in this video.

Someone has obviously never heard of hotstart cue points on a CD deck :P

What that guy does in the vid is definetly doable on CD deck, it's actually probably easier, as long as you have hotstart cues like mine do. The impressive thing is that it's done with vinyl in the vid:) Well done whoever that was.

ya. it wont be long before people realize they are only spinning vinyl for the novelty of it all.

With advances in technology, in a few years all it will have is that it looks cool and authentic and VINTAGE.

But for people who prefer to listen to djs rather than watch them, none of that will matter.

Vinyl is one of the oldest still used media formats known to man.
Now that it is starting to get phased out, people are trying to clutch at the remnents like grabbing for branches while falling from a tree.
