Sure, not a problem.

You haven't joined the FNK group yet though, right? You don't need the software to do this...just go to http://www.last.fm/group/FNK and "click to join this group" - you can install the plugin later, it's available here! :)

last.fm is rad! I got on there a couple years ago, and at first it was awesome. Then it started to get really slow and I stopped going on there (I had even donated $100 which I ended up not using). Logged on a couple times over the last few months, and seems to be good again.

I'mma gonna go there and join the FnK group now :-) Look me up, I am FFA on there...

It keeps track of what music you listen to on your PC when played through winamp, windows media player, iTunes, whatever. It compiles the data on a weekly basis for charts and within whatever groups you're in. It's real easy.

It allows you to monitor your files. There are a bunch of radio options, a forum, shoutboxes, and other crap too, if that's your thing.

You'll never know how fun it is until you try it.

Last.fm is not as much about the tracks and playlists as it is about all the funky badass music addicts on the site that would kill for the next tune and have those weird, exquisite profiles that I love so much.

I've met a whole bunch of great people there, even in real life, and I soulseek with some scrobblers almost every day now.

And I've gotten to know so much new stuff on last.fm and still do, luv that.

Not really like a playlist, but sorta, yup.

What you do is registering on the site, let the plugin run, last.fm will do the rest. Then you get recs, charts, musical neighbours, similar artists, that sort of thing. And it works surprisngly well. There's groups and a forum too, yeah. Oh, some users have great journals, lots of them suck though.

But yeah, people can spy on you and your music, if you don't like that, pass.

Btw, FilmoreHolmes - I see you're playing the Bassnectar cd...

I was very disappointed with Mesmerizing the Ultra...he was so very good live but that disc never worked for me for some strange reason! o.O

Also, is there a new Nina Nastasia album or what? How is it? Uhm...

Funny. For me, I thought he was just okay live and his CDs really speak to me. I dig that guy's politics. Granted, I do like Diverse Systems Of Throb more.

Yep, I got a promo copy. It's solid, and not out of line next to the rest of her catalogue. If you liked her before, she's still the same. Steve Albini will always be the man.
