SERATO HELP.. input appreciated

im buying serato soon.. but im gonna buy a laptop first. Does anyone know what kinda specs i should be looking for when buying a laptop? Any certain preferable brands? Durable laptops.. run good and am i looking for certain inputs/ jacks(mic,audio in, audio out) Anything will really help, thanks.

well serato uses usb, so any laptop will work well, boost up on ram maybe,
if you get a laptop that is at least 1.2ghz and 512mb of ram you shouldn't have any problems, final scratch needs a much beefier system.

yeah theres not a whole lot of difference b.w brands. I have been using a HP dv1000 with a gig of ram and it hasnt given me any trouble (9 months). chek out the macbook. i have one, so nice. analog and digital inputs and outputs. no slowdown ever, its so fast. no stalling. very good quality audio output and input. supported by serato 1.5 software.
