It's funny, when that first came out my sister was telling me... "Look at those dancers... they're doing ridiculous motions but you can still kinda tell that they're pros.... except for that main guy."

Turns out she was right. All the background dancers are actually professional dancers, and the main guy is Spike Jonze, the guy who directed Being John Malkovich.

Spike Jonze also did most of my favorite music videos:

Fatboy Slim - Weapon of Choice ("I've got an idea for a music video. I don't know if he'll want to do it, but it's a dance number with Christopher Walken. And if he doesn't want to do it I don't really have an idea.")
Daft Punk - Da Funk (a man with a dog head experiencing the dystopia of the city)
Beastie Boys - Sabotage (like a trailer for a 70's cop show)
The Pharcyde - Drop (entire video is shot backwards)
Weezer - Buddy Holly (Happy Days clips, as well as some new footage with the actor who plays Al, making it seem like a piece out of a Happy Days episode.)
