Got fired.. bah O well

So yah, go fired on Tuesday didn't find out til weds morning when I came in. Apperantly "so that is your desicion then" is spose to mean your fired don't ever com back. I mean it's no big deal really I was gonna leave on my own soon anyways but I would have liked to have worked until I found a decent new job. Manged to find a new job almost immeadiatly. Except that it is out at Tilbury island past alex Fraser and I live in Poco but money is money till I can do better.

Anyways back to the firing part, I was fired because I would not stay late for work the boss needed done that day. He knew he needed it done, he knew I could not stay and yet he still pilled on the work right till 5. Not a big deal 90% of the time but I ahve been broke fore the last three weeks(just bought a spiffy new truck) and my check finally cleared and I had some money extra so I had made dinner reservations for my girlfriend and I(after not being able to take her out for so long and feeling bad).

5 O'clock rolls around and I go to sign out and leave my boss is standing there and says Your staying, I say no, he says yes I say no and finally he says so that's your desicions then. I say yes of course. My girl leah, comes before almost everything else. So i show up the next morning and get strange looks from management and he syays what are you doing here you were fired. Needless to say I was slightly confused, I was fired on the grounds of intentionally disobeying my employer(not staying late).

So yah what the hell can I do I have no expierance with dealing with this stuff cna i file for unlawful dismissal or get sevrance pay or what.

Unfortunately, here in Washington, you can get fired for whatever reason. It's called 'At Will Employment'. Sucks hardcore because if your employer doesn't like you for whatever reason they can fire you.

Don't know about the laws in Canada, but pretty shittly luck dude. I hate to say this, but I think you are just screwed. Take it as a lesson from life and learn from it :)

Dont assume anything, i was a model employ for the most part or tried to be I was rarely even late, and 9 times outta 10 i would ahve stayed late but that one night i had plans

In canada they can only fire you without reason during the 3 month probation.
I left my old job before the bitch could fire me. She was probably going to weeks before I left. She didnt like me at all. So one day I had enough and left her a looovely note on her desk telling her that
that day was my last shift and I'd never be coming back.

the place that just fired me won't talk to me, won't return my calls or emails, and won't pay me the $1000 they owe me, and won't give my my record of employment.

are they stupid? they've fucked me right over... but it's so illegal. i should burn the store down.
