Fifty Years of Coca-Cola Television Advertisements: Highlights from the Motion Picture Archives at the Library of Congress presents a variety of television advertisements, never-broadcast outtakes, and experimental footage reflecting the historical development of television advertising for a major commercial product. The online collection includes five excerpts from stop-motion advertising developed for Coca-Cola between 1954 and 1956 by the D'Arcy agency and makes public for the first time eighteen excerpts from the Experimental TV Color Project of 1964, which determined the best lighting for the cans, bottles, and performers in television advertisements. Featured advertisements include the 1971 "Hilltop" commercial with an international group of young people on an Italian hilltop singing "I'd Like to Buy the World a Coke"; the "Mean Joe Greene" commercial from 1979; the first "Polar Bear" commercial from 1993; the "Snowflake" commercial from 1999; and "First Experience," an international commercial filmed in Morocco in 1999.

You can hear a preview of it, but it doesn´t appply it to the file. ° ° ± ± ² ² Û Û ßÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜß Üß ßÜ Û REspECt Û ² -=ððððððððð=- ² ± ± ° BLiZZARD - C.O.R.E. - DWP - TiTAN TMG - TRiNiTY - ZENITH - ZONE ° ° ± Radium ± ² ² Û Û ßÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜß Üß ßÜ Û MEMbERZ Û ² -=ððððððððð=- ² ± ± ° ARTiLLERy SHOCkTROOpS STORmTROOpERS ° Strych9 CrazyMofo Zullo MrWh0r3 Fat_slob JaZzMaStR B'moth Crypticon persephone ant!frog [cS1-X] HaRdLoCk UNiTY VoxAc30 MusicLovr CubaJoe cANdO Mister_Y pOlYLuX bug_hoover LoRD_SHaDoW MiA free&easy s0urCe_c0de UniSOn_ Smaug88 ° PX-II ° ² model500 ² ± Scarp3r ± ² hidden ² Û Û ßÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜß Üß ßÜ Û NEWZ Û ² -=ðððððð=- ² ± ± ° ° ° ° ± ± ² ² Û Û ßÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜß Üß ßÜ Û C0NtACt-US wANtED Û ² -=ðððððððððð=- -=ðððððððð=- ² ± ± ° [email protected] cRAcKERS ° SUppLiERS ° ° ± Special thanks to p00p ± ² ² Û Û ßÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ Üß Ûß ßÛß Û LASt-UPdAtE:[02.17.2001] Û Û Û ßÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜ ÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜß |

Sierra may, at its discretion, terminate this License Agreement in the event that you fail to comply with the terms and conditions contained herein. In such event, you must immediately destroy the Program and any New Materials. 6. Export Controls. The entire risk arising out of use or performance of the Program remains with you, however Sierra warrants up to and including 90 days from the date of your purchase of the Program that the master disk on which the Program is furnished shall be free from defects in material and workmanship. In the event that the master disk proves to be defective during that time period, and upon presentation to Sierra of proof of purchase of the defective Program, Sierra will at its option 1) correct any defect, 2) provide you with a product of equal or lesser value, or 3) refund your money. 8. Limitation of Liability. NEITHER SIERRA, ITS PARENT, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES OR LICENSORS SHALL BE LIABLE IN ANY WAY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THE PROGRAM OR EDITOR INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS OF GOODWILL, WORK STOPPAGE, COMPUTER FAILURE OR MALFUNCTION, DATA LOSS, DATA CORRUPTION OR ANY AND ALL OTHER COMMERCIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you. 9. Equitable Remedies. You hereby agree that Sierra would be irreparably damaged if the terms of this License Agreement were not specifically enforced, and therefore you agree that Sierra shall be entitled, without bond, other security, or proof of damages, to appropriate equitable remedies with respect to breaches of this License Agreement, in addition to such other remedies as Sierra may otherwise have available to it under applicable laws. 10. Miscellaneous. This License Agreement shall be deemed to have been made and executed in the State of California and any dispute arising hereunder shall be resolved in accordance with the law of the State of California. You agree that any claim asserted in any legal proceeding by one of the parties against the other shall be commenced and maintained in any state or federal court located in the State of California, County of Los Angeles, having subject matter jurisdiction with respect to the dispute between the parties. This License Agreement may be amended, altered or modified only by an instrument in writing specifying such amendment, alteration or modification, which is executed by both parties. In the event that any provision of this License Agreement shall be held by a court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction to be unenforceable, such provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining portions of this License Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. You hereby acknowledge that you have read and understand the foregoing License Agreement and agree that the action of installing the Program is an acknowledgment of your agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions of the License Agreement contained herein. We want you to choose what you think has been the best gear released since 1992. It can be - the most groundbreaking bit of kit - the most innovative bits of software - the bit of gear that *everyone* bought and still uses - that 'fad' synth that *everyone* bought but never uses You know the kind of thing Post your top 10 here or email it direct to me on [email protected] And we'll be putting the results in our double-CD 10th anniversary issue (FM129, on sale 1st November), and obviously the Top 10s will be on here as well. And before anyone tries to include it in their list, yes, the TB-303 came *before* 1992 (long before...) Ground breaking software: VST - not the software package itself but the technology which is now shared by most sequencers. Changed everything! Most essential piece of kit: Kenton Control Freak - still stands head and shoulders above the rest in the land of the midi controller. Mackie HR824 Studio Monitors Great speakers, good price/performance, and looks to be the successor for the ubiquitous NS-10s 2. Triton Keyboard Workstation The first GREAT workstation. Motif has stolen the thunder recently, but this deserves the nod for reinventing the concept and popularity. 3. Roland MC-303 First great sounding, all-in-one piece that was within the price range of a McDonalds employee. 4. Yamaha RS-7000 Monster groovebox with so many uses it is frightening. This one is just getting ready to hit its strine. Sequencer, drum machine, sampler, idea generator, sound module and control surface uses... Watch out. 5. NI Reaktor Still above many people's heads, truly lets people know about the possibilities of the software revolution to come. 6. MOTU 828 Firewire Audio Interface Pro-quality, no-nonsense audio on a laptop... this one is a no-brainer. 7. Akai MPC2000 I don't use them, but I can't deny that I know TONS of folks who still do. Don't really know why, but this one is a monster, and also a no-brainer for best of in the past 10 years. 8. MOTU Midi Interfaces Still the best and most flexible MIDI interfaces available. It may not be sexy, but if your setup consists of more than a couple of peices of hardware, these babys open up so many possiblities. 9. Electrix Filter Factory Fun, wicked sounds, inexpensive and looks great in a rack... watch for these to get more popular in their discontinued status. 10. Native Instruments FM7 Why do I have hardware again? Someone, please tell me. Especially if this is the future. However, the best bit of kit I have is that TerraTec doohickey the EWS88MT. Combine this with Cubase VST, a decent desk, FX rack, TechnoX and a Deep Bass Nine then you have a setup to reckon with! Just in case yer wondering where a sap like me ended up with an EWS88MT, then I'll tell ya. I WON THE FUCKER IN THE COMPUTER MUSIC COMPRESSA REMIX COMPETITON. THE COMPETITION THAT NEVER GOT THE RESULTS HOSTED ONLINE LIKE PROMISED AND GOT A SHODDY 4 LINE PARAGRAPH AT THE BOTTOM OF PAGE 10 OF ISSUE 44. You figure it out. Dope:
The MC307 is geared more towards turntablists. I picked up the MC505, and it's one sweet piece of gear with more knobs, buttons, and real-time control to play with. The part mixer is also somewhat similar to the RS and is one sweet way to control your grooves. Once you get under the hood and really figure it out, you can build your own tones with the most complex editability I've seen in a box to date. If you've got the bucks, I'd say go for the 505 -- you'll like it better. Also, while drifting off to sleep the other night, I came upon the thought that it's theoretically possible to plug the 505 midi out to the RS midi in, and the RS midi out to the 505 midi in; effectively allowing both boxes to control each other for some whacked results. |
