i got some stuff in my eyes that i shouldn't have gotten in them...and there was this horrible burning, literally the worst pain i have ever felt...and my eyes kept closing on their own accord. so i went to emergency where they put these contact lenses onto my eyes, freezing them, and then pumped water through these hoses which they placed under my eye lids...my God i have never felt anything so good as that.

the burning sensation sucked...the coolness of the freezing was the total opposite...literally nothing has felt better. i was thinking about doing it again just so i could feel it again.

^^^^That's so shitty!!

I already need glasses 4 seeing far away stuff and it seems to get just a little bit worse every once in a while. I get it from my dad and my dad is far-sighted AND near-sighted...He needs glasses 4 reading and he used to wear contacts but he got lazer eye surgery. I'm afraid i'm going to get his far-sightedness, it's freakin me out!! Ahhh

how long did your dad have the surgery?
any problems with it?

I'm thinking about getting lazer done when I have mega bucks
I dunno, wearing glasses is still good. Been wearing them since I was little. I like the freedom without glasses but I guess it would feel weird if I didn't have them on for quite a time.

My dad had the surgery a few years ago..he had to stay home from work for a couple days after cuz you have to keep your eyes covered but it worked amazingly. He could see perfect so he reccomended it to his boss and our neighbors(the wife, husband and little girl) and all 4 of them got it done. They all had the same great outcome and haven't had any problems since! If my eyesight keeps deteriorating i'll probably get it done in a few years.
