i get the exact same thing... when i am on my live journal or writing for a really long time, my fingers, toes and my nose gets really unhealthily cold and then i feel like i am being posessed or something and then slight depression.... same for you? as if your soul is being drained.

Cool, so I'm not super strange!
I can't remember, because I don't know too much about biology, but I remember learning once that if one side of your brain is operating, the other side, including the circulation of blood, slows down. Oops, so if that is the case, then it wouldn't it be my right brain doing all the work then....?!?! I'm confused. Someone smart come and clarify. *Jen* |

sorry jen... I'm kinda stumped :(
but I highly doubt it has to do with the theory you just described, because even if it were correct, I'd think the differences between the temperature of each hand would be negligible. it sounds like a problem that has more to do with your vascular regulatory function... --Joanne :P |

sorry, I deleted my original post because I thought it was very unhelpful... so instead, I decided to post my personal opinion instead, seeing as I'm learning how to do peripheral vascular assessments tomorrow! --Joanne :P |

for most people there right hand will be colder [righ handed people] whereas a lefy's left hand will be colder.
because you do not type the whole time, your "stronger" hand is left just laying on the mouse [which for most set up's is higher on the computer table] which means it will get less blood. OR you could be like me and have poor circulation * Allie |

so I had my lab in peripheral vascular assessments.. I was actually used for the demonstration and my teacher found that my left knee is colder than my right knee. the reason is because I had surgery done a few years ago which changed the vascularization of that area... so... have you ever had surgery on your right hand before? if you have, it may be the culprit.
another possible explanation is perhaps your right hand is doing so much work that it's actually impairing the circulation, thus making it colder? --Joanne :P |
