teehee, I know what you mean!! After 4 1/2 years of partying & as I'm getting older, I'm finding that "raving" & hitting up the next party is becoming less & less important to me & my dreams are becoming more of a goal & reality. I am so fucking greatful for all of the experiences I've had by being a "party kid". I can honestly say that I've learned unexplainable amounts of things about people, music, drugs & specially myself! There is so much amazingness in the "scene" but only so much amazingness before you've felt it all. The only thing I look forward to now is the music & talented Djs<3 I miss those days when I was 16 & would get massif butterflies before every party because I was sooo stoked! For me, it's kinda like that anticipation is still simmering somewhere, but I know now that there is more to life than this party life! I think It's totally normal to feel like taking a break! But I'll never forget that feeling!! Geezus, this post sounds like a fucking sesame street special! I shall stop this non sense *rolls eyes* PLUR! hahaha :kimmie:

^^ You're a sap Heather... but I still love you ;)
On the whole "retiring" thing... iono it's your call but I think like Kandy Apple you're making it more then it really is. They're JUST parties. Maybe if you were a big time promoter or DJ and you depended on the scene for your living *tries to supress laughter* it might be different. I used to go to parties a lot more then I do now but a lot of that was becuase I had things to run from and drugs to be hooked on. After getting over all that though I still went and had fun because I love dancing and the music and it's just what me n my friends did. Then it turned into work (lighting/sound/lasers... I'm sure a bunch of you have seen me n Ryan doing it over the last few years) and to be quite honest I had more fun working then attending parties more often then not. Then I threw a couple of my own for the hell of it. Had a blast doing Fractured last Feb., a good time with the last minute party Ravey Rave 5000 and Shattered I don't even wanna get into that one. The last party I threw made me say fuck it pretty much for doing any more shows. I still go on occasion... usually to work but there are the rare times I go to actually party. Hrmmm... come to think of it everything I've gone to "party" in the last year or more I've ended up workign... but whatever I like it. I'm gonna stop rambling though (sorry I'm bored at work). Go or don't go... chill out for a bit... take a moment to recoop and re-evaluate your place in life and what you want to do because there's TONS beyond partying and one day you're going to have to realize that and face it. |

Oh god, I know when I prolly post this there will be alot retialation (sp) but here it goes.. lol
Okay, I started not too long ago, and it was wicked like! fucking so much fun because I was anoob. Now that I have gotten in to the music and what not I love it just as much, but I hate going to parties and seeing the lil 15 year olds in the booty shorts..there to just get fucked up and when your trying to dance they are making out with there club boyfriends (older than them) on the floor. Everyone does raves now adays, its like it isnt sacred anymore..like, natasha and others have told me what it was like back in the day and I wish I was around to see it. Now, that I have quit doing E for sumtime I look around and see thats all people do..(exceptions for the people who go for friends and music) I love going to parties and seeing people and friends, but lately I dunno...just isnt so exciting anymore...well rave...I guess! |

shit I'm so sick of hearing bout ppl quitting the rave scene when the quiters are just doin it cuz others are...just not right..I've been partying for over 3 years and I still fuckN luv the scene...Rave to the grave....i bet u most of the ppl who say they are quitting are still gonna be around doin the same shit that they always do at parties....from my past and present xperience most of the ppl who say they quitting raving duzn't mean they're quitting raving it means that they are sick of doin drugs and can't rave without doin anything at them...so for all the newBs who say they gonna quit raving, don't even bother cuz u still gonna be at everyparty :kam:

there's no denying it, you are the grandmaster flail, you got years and actual flail hours that i think very few could surpass. this isn't so much a flail challenge so much as a suggestion to go-a-flailin.
i don't think i've seen you in action yet. besides, half these kids out there come no where near understanding the half about the flail. |

For me to say I'm not gonna smoke anymore is like saying I am not gonna rave anymore.
Someway or somehow I am probably gonna end up at a rave somewhere. I think the best way to get out of it is just to do it quietly. Or a break seems to work really well |
