Doode listen man.
You can't open up a thread like this by naming it Fuck You. Not everyone knows about you and your "Future Techno" so don't make it like we were supposed to. The Music you produce hasn't received the respect it deserves since its decline in Vancouver rave. Maybe its your shitty way of PR skills that hasnt landed you anything. There are many djs on this board who have also been around for a while and havent landed anything they want either, so cry me a river. Do you think every big name in Dance music has made it in 5 years? No they havent, many struggled for years b4 they received any respect, many still haven't gained that respect. Making music should be fun regardless and you make it seem like a chore!!!!! Go out and talk to people, make friends, and give out cds. I listened to your beats and the production was great, nothing I would play but you obviously know what you're doing. Try some different ways of promoting yourself rather then telling everyone that hasn't heard of "fuck you" Good Luck in the future! Mateo ps - I know your sister Natania she went to Holy Cross I used to download your mixes off napster if I remember corectly. |

Okay my cents... I had my attempts at producing myself, I find it so much more rewarding than DJing sometimes, just because even when you don't make club-responsive tunes, if somebody likes one of your creations [you should always like them once you call them completed] there's something about that feeling...
so, point by point: Destroy the Law I like how you play around with the synthbass at the beginning, so you're song is not static [repetitive loops]. The vocal FX is kinda cheesy in my opinion, but that's something that depends on you own preference. They aren't frequent enough to really cause a problem. The mastering is done properly and everything sounds good. However at the end maybe you want to add somewhat of a slight echoing effect to the synth, it sounds kinda like a shot so I think it's a bit short. Attack n Smash The sawbass I think cuts out a bit too fast. I think you could make it just a bit less loud, not signifficantly but at times it takes over all the other tracks, so if that's not what your intention was... Anyway, nice twists for the sawbass, few artists have the patience to go there unfortunately ["stutter bass", technique invented by BT back in the days of "Orbitus terranium" in 1997] Guide Me to Your Chain Gun Nothing interesting happening till about 4:15, and even from here on the song is not particularly striking in anyway Evolution has somewhat interesting work done to it, again with the bass. Maybe just because it's not really my type... Pump It sounds too much like a lot of everything else that is coming out massively these days. Too much towards euro-dance I think Rave suffers of a similar condition, but I think it has got a lot of potential to it so don't worry - and don't give up :) I know artists hate critics. So my opinions can remain exactly that - mine. Your music is obviously something you spend time on doing and I guess there's a lot of passion going into it. I really enjoyed "Destroy the Law" and "Attack n Smash" and the specialties used in these tracks. |

Welcome to the site :y:
Some valid points in this thread, however, you should realize how people reading this could make the wrong impression quickly.I do also appreciate the fact you number-signed the remaining letters of your topic. The best way to get noticed on here is a subtle approach. Attack too firm and people get the wrong impression. The city is going through a techno-growth period right now ( as discussed in another thread) and you might just get to speak with the right people by promoting yourself effectively. Like the other people on this board I did listen to the mix and I thought it had potential. Good luck in the future. ƒORM |

If you listed your produced tracks on your site instead of the fancy flash work, maybe you'd get some recongition.
Start sending your tunes to record labels and quit bitching. No one on this board will be able to solve your problems except you. |
