A tapeworm is a flatworm that latches itself onto your duodenum (aka Small intestine), which is immediately below your stomach.
AFAIK, they have no way of making their way back into the stomach, and the acids in there would kill it anyways (it needs to travel through your stomach via an acid-proof cyst that is usually injested along with the tapeworm... these cysts disintegrate in the duodenum and the tapeworm starts its bidness).
the logistics of this story don't really work.
